Exact vehicle fitment
Made for the first-generation Australian XV
Modernise your XV with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in a fascia matched to its centre vents and original radio. Harman Kardon audio, the factory reverse camera, steering-wheel controls, upper display, USB and physical climate controls remain supported.
Matched to the dashboard in front of you
Subaru changed to the next XV generation during 2017. This kit is for the first-generation dashboard shown here, so use the dashboard—not the registration year alone—as the final check.

Easy dashboard identification
First-generation XV dashboards use two visible vent treatments: black trim around both centre vents or bright silver borders. The rear mounting and switch-carrier arrangements are not safely interchangeable, so this simple visual choice determines the fascia packed with the screen.
Upload the requested straight-on dashboard and radio photos after choosing. They let the visible fascia and hidden radio family be checked together without asking you to dismantle anything.

Familiar apps on a larger display
Connect a compatible iPhone or Android phone wirelessly and bring supported driving apps onto the 9-inch screen. Use Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, podcasts, calls and messages through the familiar CarPlay or Android Auto interface.
When you do not want phone projection, the standalone Novo Nav launcher provides radio, Bluetooth, navigation, settings and supported Android apps directly from the unit.
**In-car demonstration video:** Use `images/page-copy/installation-video-v1.mp4` here as an inline page-copy video. It should autoplay muted and loop only while visible, with user controls available. The same source is also included in the product media carousel as `images/product-gallery/10-installation-video-v1.mp4`; when selected there, it should autoplay according to the future media-renderer rules.

Premium and standard audio supported
The upgrade supports Harman Kardon amplified systems as well as standard factory audio. You do not need to find a badge, locate an amplifier or choose an audio-system option at checkout.
Subaru fitted several radio faces and rear connections across this range. A clear photo of the factory radio is more reliable than asking you to recognise a connector, so we use the photo to match the integration parts internally.

Keep the rear view you rely on
Choose `Factory reverse camera` if the original camera currently appears on the factory radio. It will continue to display when reverse is selected. Choose `No reverse camera` if none is fitted; the screen works normally and a compatible camera can be added.
No camera voltage, plug or module identification is required from you.

Modern screen, familiar cabin
Factory steering-wheel buttons remain compatible for familiar volume, track and hands-free functions. The upper multi-function display stays above the centre vents, while fan speed, airflow and temperature remain on the original physical climate dials.
Factory USB is retained where fitted. There is no steering-control question because the kit works whether those buttons are present or absent.

Nothing stacked on top of the dashboard
The upper display remains in its original position and the new fascia follows the existing centre-stack shape below it. Hazard/ENTER controls and climate dials remain where the dashboard was designed to place them.
That finished geometry matters: the upgrade should feel integrated into the cabin, not like a universal tablet mounted in front of working factory features.

Useful for weekends away
CarPlay and Android Auto cover everyday navigation, while the Android head unit can also run supported navigation apps using its own GPS receiver. Download the required maps through your chosen app before leaving reception and keep a route available on regional roads or tracks.
Offline map content and subscriptions depend on the app selected; the page should not imply that a particular paid map package is included.

Several factory radios, one simple check
Basic button radios, navigation units and later touchscreens can use different integration connections. A registration year does not identify those parts reliably, particularly around the 2017 changeover.
Upload one straight-on dashboard photo and one clear factory-radio photo. The order can then be matched without asking you to remove trim or select an electrical connector from a technical diagram.

Built around the existing dashboard
The selected fascia wraps the 9-inch display between the upper information screen and original climate panel. Its side shoulders slope inward toward the rectangular screen, which sits slightly forward with its narrow border, microphone/reset holes and five-button touch strip visible.

XV fitment questions
It fits the first-generation dashboard pictured on this page. Because the next generation also arrived during 2017, the uploaded dashboard photo is the final check.
No. Harman Kardon and standard factory audio are supported without a sound-system selection.
That visible trim identifies the fascia family required for the dashboard.
Yes. Select `Factory reverse camera` and the appropriate retention connection will be prepared.
Yes. Select `No reverse camera`; the screen works normally and a compatible camera can be added.
Yes. Both remain physically in place and the original climate dials continue to be used.
Subaru used several factory radios and wiring arrangements. Photos let the correct parts be matched without requiring connector knowledge.
The connections are prepared around the photographed vehicle without cutting the factory loom. Installation still involves removing interior trim and the original radio, fitting the supplied components and testing retained features before reassembly. Choose professional installation if you are not comfortable with that work.
A simpler way to order the correct XV upgrade
Receive a 9-inch CarPlay and Android Auto kit prepared around the factory radio and controls already fitted to your XV.
Choose the performance that suits you
Both models include the complete vehicle-specific kit. Premium adds more memory, sound performance, radio support and a longer warranty.

— Nathan B.

— Paul D.
“The screen fit is excellent and there are no awkward gaps around the fascia. It feels like a properly matched kit rather than a universal radio.”
— Jason N.
