Matched to the dashboard in front of you

A complete 9-inch upgrade prepared for your Legacy

Use the pictured dashboard as the authority, particularly for a vehicle described as 2020. The later seventh-generation dashboard was not produced in right-hand drive and is not compatible with this fascia.

Novo Nav launcher fitted in a Subaru Legacy

Important 2020 boundary

Match the centre stack rather than relying on an overseas model-year listing

This product fits the sixth-generation BN layout shown throughout the page: two horizontal vents over the radio, a hazard switch between them and a separate physical climate panel below.

A materially different seventh-generation dashboard appeared overseas for the 2020 model year, but it was not produced in right-hand drive. Uploading the full dashboard confirms the supported layout and prevents an overseas listing from causing confusion.

Harman Kardon factory speaker badge in a Subaru Legacy

Keep the sound already fitted

Standard and premium factory audio are both covered

The kit supports Harman Kardon amplified audio as well as the standard factory sound system. There is no need to locate hidden components or recognise an audio badge before ordering.

The current radio face is still important because Subaru used several radio connections. Clear photos allow the internal integration to be matched without asking you to identify connectors.

Factory reverse camera retained in a Subaru Legacy

Retain the view already fitted

Select what appears on the original factory screen

Choose `Reverse camera` if the current radio shows a conventional rear view. Choose `Side or surround cameras` if additional exterior views are available. The relevant factory views continue to work on the new unit.

Choose `No factory camera` if nothing appears when reverse is selected. The head unit still operates normally and a compatible reverse camera can be added later.

Wireless Apple CarPlay fitted in a Subaru Legacy

Familiar phone apps on a 9-inch screen

Bring navigation, music, calls and messages into the centre stack

Connect a compatible iPhone or Android phone wirelessly and use supported apps through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Voice assistance provides a more convenient way to handle common driving tasks.

The Novo Nav launcher remains available outside phone projection for radio, Bluetooth, navigation, settings and supported Android apps.

Factory reverse camera retained in a Subaru Legacy

Keep a working factory feature

Reverse engages the familiar rear view without replacing the camera

When `Reverse camera` is selected, the corresponding retention connection is prepared for the photographed setup. The factory view continues to display, including intrinsic guidelines where provided by the car.

Subaru Legacy steering-wheel controls retained

New infotainment, familiar vehicle controls

Keep the functions already positioned around the driver

Factory steering-wheel controls remain compatible for the functions fitted. Factory USB is retained where fitted, and supported vehicle settings remain accessible after the original radio is removed.

Temperature, fan and airflow still use the original physical climate panel below the screen rather than being transferred into an aftermarket interface.

Factory Subaru Legacy dashboard before the upgrade

The correct integration selected behind the scenes

Show us the existing radio face without dismantling anything

Button-heavy factory radios, navigation units and later glossy screens can use different connections even when the surrounding trim looks similar. A year or trim grade alone is not the most reliable packing guide.

Upload a straight-on photo of the complete dashboard and a clear close photo of the radio. These confirm the supported RHD layout and radio family. Never remove the radio or send photos of plugs.

**Uploader copy:** Upload clear photos of your full dashboard and current radio. Subaru used several factory radios in this range, so we use your photos to confirm fitment and match the correct parts.

Offline navigation displayed in a Subaru Legacy

Another option beyond phone-based maps

Prepare map areas before travelling beyond reliable reception

CarPlay and Android Auto provide familiar everyday navigation. The Android head unit can also use supported mapping apps with its own GPS receiver, including compatible downloaded areas where the app allows offline use.

Map packages, subscriptions and offline capability depend on the selected app and are not universally included.

Novo Nav launcher fitted in a Subaru Legacy

Clean BN centre-stack fitment

Horizontal vents above and physical climate controls below remain in their original positions

The fascia follows the tapered black side wings and thin silver lower edge around the new 9-inch opening. The Novo Nav microphone/reset holes and five touch buttons remain visible on the left side of the completed display.

Factory features retained

What stays compatible in your Legacy

  • Harman Kardon or standard factory audio
  • Factory reverse camera when selected
  • Factory side and surround-camera views when fitted
  • Factory steering-wheel controls
  • Factory USB where fitted
  • Supported vehicle settings
  • Original physical climate controls

Legacy fitment questions

Everything to check before ordering

Will this fit every vehicle advertised as a 2020 Legacy?+

It fits the right-hand-drive sixth-generation BN dashboard pictured here. A materially different overseas seventh-generation dashboard also appeared for MY2020 but was not made in right-hand drive and is excluded.

Do I need to know whether it has Harman Kardon?+

No. Harman Kardon amplified and standard factory audio systems are supported without another selection.

Will the factory reverse camera remain?+

Yes. Choose `Reverse camera` so the matching retention connection can be prepared.

Are side or surround-camera views supported?+

Yes. Choose `Side or surround cameras`; the existing side, surround and reverse views remain supported.

What if no camera is fitted?+

Select `No factory camera`. The unit works normally and a compatible reverse camera may be added.

Will the steering-wheel controls and USB remain?+

Steering controls remain compatible and factory USB is retained where fitted.

Why must I upload dashboard and radio photos?+

They confirm the supported RHD dashboard and identify the factory-radio family without asking you to inspect hidden connectors.

Is installation plug-and-play?+

The connections are prepared around the photographed setup without cutting the factory loom. Installation still requires trim and radio removal, fitting and testing. Professional installation is appropriate if you are not comfortable with vehicle electronics.
